As I tweeted Orange this morning to get a release date, they kindly replied and said today, and will be available via Kies (Samsung’s tool to manage your phones data and firmware, a bit like iTunes for iDevices).

So I decided to hook up my Galaxy SII to my PC and see if Kies shows the ICS update, I received a Kies update which it said to get the latest firmware is to update Kies so I decided okay I’ll update:

So once that was done I received this notification of a firmware update:

So there you go guys get your Galaxy SII’s updated!

Here I’m going to show you how to temporary fix an EPS (Electric Power Steering) issue on a Fiat Punto MK2, now this depends on what the actual issue is but if I’m correct then I assume your Power Steering isn’t working? And you have to drive the vehicle with no assistances on the steering? If so then carry on reading!!

So firstly I have to get this warning out of the way so I can cover my ass from getting bombarded with hate mail! :’)

You herein do this fix at your very own risk knowing it could cause further damage to the vehicle that may require to be repaired by an approved repair garage or by an Fiat Dealership, this method is provided to you as a cheap and temporary fix to resolve the matter so the vehicle can be driven with ease! However, this method may or may not resolve the issue which then the vehicle will need to be driven to a garage /or Fiat Dealership without any assistance from the steering! If you do not feel like driving the vehicle in this state I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you call out a tow truck or call out you’re registered breakdown cover to recover the vehicle etc.

Now that’s out of the way, let’s proceed onto with the guide – shall we?

So here’s what you are going to need in order to carry out this fix:

• The car (Fiat Punto MK2, this method as I know only works on this one!)
• Enough fuel in the car to start the engine, if not then I suggest topping it up with a jerry can.
• Your vehicles handbook, this will come in handy to locate which fuse your EPS uses – on mine it’s F05 in the Fuse/Relay box in the engine bay.
• A little bit of bravery as you have to work while the engine is running, not many people like doing this as there’s a possibility or a short or spark nothing harmful unless you start fiddling with other things you shouldn’t!
• That’s it! Oh and your car key preferably the one that’s able to start the car not the dummy one!

So let’s do this!

MAKE SURE CAR IS TURNED OFF DURING THESE STEPS UNLESS OTHERWISE TOLD TO TURN IT ON!

Step #1 Pop the bonnet

Once you’ve done this make sure the bonnet is securely opened by using the support rod on the left hand side in the engine bay, this way the bonnet won’t slam shut on your head leaving a nice lump shape of your big head!

Step #2 Locate the Fuse/Relay box & EPS Fuse

This should be pretty straight forward as you can’t miss it, as it’s located on the right hand side of the engine bay near the battery as shown in the picture below:

Now as far as I know this is the same on most Punto’s from 1999-2003 (if I’m wrong I do apologize!).

All you have to do here is un-clip the lid and you should now see a set of high amp fuses, BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL here which one you remove! As mentioned earlier you ONLY need to remove the fuse that is for the EPS, on this Fiat Punto MK2 it’s a blue fuse (F05) 60A as shown below:

Step #3 Remove & Re-Insert EPS Fuse

Now this step requires full concentration and remember take every little safety as possible, okay so remove that fuse from the box put somewhere safe then go and start the engine (presuming the engine was off in the first place which it should of been!) then go back to the engine bay and re-insert the fuse back into the correct slot on my car it’s F05, then go back to the steering wheel and gently move it side to side to see if the EPS has kicked in or not – if it has then well done now get the car to a garage ASAP! If it hasn’t then I’m afraid to be the bearer of bad news that your issue maybe more severe which requires professional assistance from an approved garage or dealership.

Step #4 All done!

Now wherever this method has resolved your issue or not it’s here for your use, but I do hope it has helped in some way or form – let’s face it you can’t expect miracles when it comes down to cars or any vehicle! Just remember if this hasn’t resolved your issue then please drive safely as you won’t have any assistance on the steering! Such a long time I haven’t posted on this website, and this for good reasons and those are I have been extremely busy with life got myself a new car in January a Fiat Punto MK2 that has a few modifications looks awesome!! Also I am applying to go back to college this year (still waiting on a reply) to study Motor Vehicle as it’s always been my dream to work with cars since I was like 10 years old – so hopefully I get in if not always alternatives eh?

If you haven’t already heard the news about Facebook’s infamous “Timeline” coming finally to the iOS “frontend” app then carry on reading, now Facebook announced “Timeline” awhile ago back in September at their convention “F8″. Which showcased this feature and said  it would become widely available to all Facebook users world-wide at some point later in the year, though all Facebook Developers got their hands on the “Timeline” before the general public got it – but anyone could do this if they wanted the “Timeline” early which spread around the web like anything!

So anyway’s moving onto Facebook’s update on their iOS app version 4.1 which is now available to download in the App Store!

This update gives:

Just so you know the news feed and everything else apart from your profile will now show the Timeline and on everyone else’s Timeline (if they have a timeline).

Hey there fellow ‘Xboxer’s!

Here’s a short video on the brand new Xbox Update based on the Metro Design Language, I’ve had a little look around on the new dashboard and personally I like it! It feels a lot more sleek and less cluttered unlike it’s predecessor “NXE” (New Xbox Experience) that was launched a few years back! The two down points to this new update is that it’s caused half of Xbox LIVE members to not be able to sign in to the service, also half of the Apps announced during E3 like BBC iPlayer, YouTube, 4OD (4 On Demand), etc are not available at launch which sucks! But without a doubt these services will be available either sometime during the winter or an early 2012 update!

However, that aside this major update has to best one to date for all Xbox 360 owners…okay well let’s say most as I’m 90% sure they’ll be a few people who will dislike the update, for whatever reason they have – but as I say you can’t please everyone no matter how much you try to!

Emma West – a 34 year old Mother from New Addington, Croydon, London – has been charged.

The video which shows West making racial remarks towards fellow travellers on a Croydon Tramlink – has already received over 3 million views on YouTube, and has also caused a lot of upset throughout the United Kingdom.

Following an investigation by the British Transport Police, which was launched earlier this week, a spokesman said “I can confirm that Emma West (34) of New Addington was charged with Racially Aggravated Section 4a on Monday.”

“She was remanded in custody overnight and is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates Court on Tuesday 29th November.”

“This is in relation to an incident on-board a Croydon Tramlink.”

Another video has now started circulating the Internet which is similar to the one Emma West did, though this was apparently on a London to Manchester train yet details to be confirmed – again watch at your own discretion!

The expletive-ridden clip, which was uploaded to YouTube on Sunday, shows a woman sitting with a child on her lap ranting at ethnic minority passengers to “go back to where you came from”.

Some commuters became visibly upset as the woman shouted “you’re not British” and claimed her country had been ruined by the influx of immigrants.

The woman angrily challenged a mother on board who complained about her swearing loudly in front of children, before another passenger intervened, saying “I’m British, what have you got to say to me?”.

A British Transport Police spokesman said a 34-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of a racially-aggravated offence after the video was posted online, the BBC reports.

“The video posted on YouTube and Twitter has been brought to our attention and our officers have launched an investigation,” the spokesman said.

The incident happened on the Croydon to Wimbledon Tramlink route, but police are yet to clarify when it took place.

So I decided to have a little bit of MW3 (Modern Warfare 3) time this morning and thought hmm Demolition? Yeah why not! So I joined and what’s the odds of joining a ‘hacked lobby’ well let’s put it simple not rare at all when it comes to Call of Duty games, usually these lobbies consist of ‘Prestige hack, Jump, Unlimited Ammo, etc’ though this one didn’t have any other that but a super speed hack! Which made the game go at a faster frame rate – which was very annoying but utter crazy especially in a Demolition game, you plant the bomb it’s done, you get excited and it’s defused within one second now you’re not so excited!

However, I am only posting this on here and YouTube so this hack gets noticed and hopefully patched by Infinity Ward – yes I know it’s not really a disadvantage hack where you have an edge over people but merely an annoying hack, so please spread this if you’re against people hacking Modern Warfare 3!

Web giant Facebook did come under attack from porn hackers, the website confirmed today.

Thousands complained yesterday after their news feeds were flooded with violent and pornographic photographs. Some images were even doctored to show the faces of celebrities including teen star Justin Bieber.

A Facebook spokeswoman said that the website had seen an increased amount of spam in the last 24 hours but it was “under control” by last night.
The scam saw members tricked into pasting malicious links into their browsers which spread the offensive content between different users.

The spokeswoman added: “Protecting the people who use Facebook from spam and malicious content is a top priority for us. ”Recently, we experienced a spam attack that exploited a browser vulnerability. Our team responded quickly and we have eliminated most of the spam caused by this attack.

“We are now working to improve our systems to better defend against similar attacks in the future.”

Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks have a habit of allowing people to cyber bully others. A forum was set up last night to urge people to report the Facebook page. The forum has had a huge response.

“It’s so sad when these young girls become ‘famous’ like this. Social media is a whole new emotional burden on our kids, the likes of which we never had when we were young. I feel sure that one day a young girl (or boy) is going to end up losing their life because of something like this.” said Cynthia, 34, from Wales.

We do not yet know whether Sharon O’Brien is a real girl, or a fake profile using another girl’s images.

There are many rumours flying around social networking websites at the moment. Including one that states that the Anti-Bullying Alliance may have set up this as ‘Project Sharon’ to see the reaction from public.

A spokesperson from the UK’s Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) said: “Project Sharon has absolutely nothing to do with the Anti-Bullying Alliance.”

“The Anti-Bullying Alliance has been targeted by a bogus social media campaign dubbed ‘Project Sharon’.”

“We are part of leading children’s charity, the National Children’s Bureau and are committed to preventing and stopping bullying it in all forms.  We wish to make it absolutely clear that we have nothing to do with this action and it is not part of Anti-Bullying Week.”

“We are deeply saddened that an anonymous internet user has attributed us as the creators of such a page, however it does highlight the serious issue of cyberbullying, which is why awareness raising initiatives like Anti-Bullying Week are so important. Bullying behaviour, in all forms, is absolutely unacceptable and we urge people who witness and/or experience bullying to report it as soon as possible.”
