So if you haven’t already heard about Google’s newest product on the block then you have been living under a rock no doubt about that, so what is exactly Google+? Well to cut it short it’s a Social Networking site made by Google and as some people say it’s a bit like Facebook…but anything made by Google has it’s standards for being amazing well let’s see what this rival Social Networking site has to offer, and I will note now that these features are there as of writing this post and remember Google+ is a invite only for the time being while Google iron out all the issues and whatever they have to do to finish the product before making it a open site for anyone to join!
So firstly let’s look at the homepage when you are signed in:

So firstly you’ll notice the ‘Stream’ this part is like the feed of knowing what’s happening with people/friends in your ‘Circle’ (I’ll explain the Circle later on) so whatever they post you’ll see here wherever they post a video,picture or a just regular status…pretty much like any other social networking feature except more cleaner and less cluttered.

As you can see above it’s so easy to post an update on your profile and you have the option to choose who sees the update either everyone (Public) or just close friends. All you have to do is click ‘+ Add circles or people to share with…’ or ‘+ Add more people’ (if you’ve already selected one) and follow on-screen instructions it provides you like below:
Once you’ve selected one it’ll appear in the box below your post:
So once you’ve done drooling over that feature let’s move onto the main profile page that you and everyone will see when they visit you on Google+:

Nothing special on here and only one post (only just got my Google+ invite!) that’s why…so you have your picture on the left-hand side then below that is where your friends will appear if you choose to have them visible and beside it a menu system that allows you to flick through the person(s) Photos, Videos, About and +1′s then below that will be the posts that the person(s) you are viewing has submitted on the Stream.
If you don’t know about +1′s then let me fill you in on that, basically various sites you will see a little +1 button this is like the Facebook like button except for Google and when you click that you recommending that site or a article you found interesting. And Google have integrated this feature into Google+ so whenever you click on a +1 button the recommendation will show under this tab.
Now before I end this article I’m going to show you one more feature which is ‘Circles’ another word for network/friendships etc:

So ‘Circles’ is another term for Friendships/Networks etc, and all you have to do is click on ‘+ Add a new person’ and a little dialogue will appear where you can type your friends e-mail address or the persons name you wish to add. Once you’ve done that just drag that person into the correct circle either, Friends, Family, Acquaintances and Following this way you can split up the random adds into their own categories instead having one massive friend list in your face!
For now I’m going to leave it there as I don’t want to spoil anything else as above are the primary features of the platform and not really giving away that much if you know what I mean, so it’s all down to Google to iron out things and hopefully within the next few weeks or months we should see a finished Google+ that is hopefully much better than it’s BETA one.
